Women in Technology 2019: Recap + Thank You!

Written by Market Street Talent | October 18, 2019

Thank you to our Social Media Engagement Intern, Bridget Keaveney, for creating the following guest blog post about this week’s Women in Tech event! We are excited to have Bridget on board for the fall semester to take a deep dive into our social media statistics and help us refine our strategy ahead of 2020.

We are so proud to announce that the sixth annual “Women In Technology” event held this past Tuesday, October 15, was a huge success. Sponsored by Market Street Talent, BDS Insight and Diversity Workforce Coalition, this event highlighted the importance of “seeing past bias” in the workplace.

Women in Technology 2019 took place at 3S Artspace in Portsmouth, NH and was catered by neighboring restaurant Barrio, who provided a phenomenal build-your-own taco bar for our guests.

Thank you to both 3S Artspace and Barrio for creating a wonderful atmosphere for the evening!

We would like to say a huge thank you to the night’s keynote speaker, GYKAntler Technology and Innovation Director Leslie Pascual, as well as organizational psychologist Dr. Loretta Brady, for facilitating the discussion and events for the evening. This event would not have been possible without you.

Our guests participated in an interactive game of “Buffalo”, a game facilitated by Dr. Loretta Brady, to further engage with strategies on avoiding Implicit Bias.

And last but not least, thank you to all the night’s wonderful attendees. We look forward to continuing the momentum of our Women in Technology events in the future.
