Get to Know Market Street Talent: Megan Feeley

Written by Market Street Talent | January 17, 2020

As part of our “Get to Know Market Street Talent” series, we introduce you to a member of our team and give you a closer look at the people who drive the success of our company. This week, meet our newest Account Executive, Megan Feeley.

What is your role at Market Street Talent?

I am an Account Executive–my job is to seek out quality companies who are looking for stellar IT talent and teach them how Market Street Talent can work with them to find the right people!

How did you first learn about Market Street Talent?

After 4 years at my previous company (and a daily commute from Portsmouth to Cambridge), I was ready for a job change. I found Market Street Talent on Glassdoor, and after reading amazing reviews and looking at the company website, I knew it was a company I could see myself growing in!

Before working at Market Street Talent, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I was a Party Hostess for children’s birthday parties back in high school. I would organize check-ins, orchestrate play time, serve pizza and cake to the kids…and sneak frosting in the back room when no one could see me.

Tell us a little about yourself.

I am the middle child of three daughters, I love to hand-letter my own bullet journals, and I am trying to read a biography of every American president in order. I like to stay active and watch football, I think a sense of humor is one of the most endearing traits you can have, and I LOVE soft pretzels.

Where is your hometown?

I grew up in North Attleboro, MA and I currently live in Newmarket, NH.

What do you like to do on your days off?

Visit friends and family, do yoga or go to the gym, spend time in bookstores and at breweries.

What book did you read last?

“The Outsider” by Stephen King.

What is the most important thing you have learned in the last five years?

I’ve learned that the world is a lot less scary than I used to think it was, and that anxiety is almost always a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you put yourself out there and just be your genuine self, people will respond!

What’s your favorite thing to do in Portsmouth?

I haven’t been able to spend too much free time in Portsmouth until recently, so I am open to any and all suggestions! In the summer I like to have lunches on the docks with friends (Harpoon Willy’s or River House).

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I think planning that far ahead can make you feel inadequate if you don’t end up where you had hoped you would. In five years I would like to be secure in myself and my career, have a strong inner circle of my closest friends, be challenging myself every day, and be happy with who I am and where I am at!

Wine or beer?

Beer.

Coffee or tea?

Coffee.

Motto or personal mantra?

You can’t control anything or anyone but yourself. Try your best, be kind to others, and you will go far!

Welcome to MST, Megan!
