As part of our “Get to Know Market Street Talent” series, we introduce you to a member of our team and give you a closer look at the people who drive the success of our company. This week, we’re excited to introduce MST’s newest Account Executive, Marie Toohey!

What is your role at Market Street Talent?

Account Executive. Advocating for clients to find the best fit candidates that will be successful at their organization. Pretty cool stuff!

How did you first learn about Market Street Talent?

LinkedIn—great resource.

Before working at Market Street Talent, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I’ve never really had any “unusual” jobs, but I do have a background in advertising and marketing, which is an industry I will always love for its ability to connect consumers with the right-fit services and/or products.

Tell us a little about yourself.

I am a lover of the outdoors, podcasts, coffee, dogs, Taylor Swift, exercise, cooking, flowers, music, candles, and traveling! I suppose I am pretty basic.

Where is your hometown?

Dracut, Massachusetts.

What do you like to do on your days off?

Spending time with family, friends, and my wonderful pup Oakley, partaking in friendly competition, and any excuse to be outside and get some fresh air!

What book did you read last?

The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn.

What is the most important thing you have learned in the last five years?

Bet on yourself, take chances, and follow your heart. I think trusting your intuition and not letting fear control your decisions is the most valuable lesson I’ve ever learned, and it’s been further cemented within the last few years.

What’s your favorite thing to do in Portsmouth?

Dinner and drinks outside!

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Progressing. I do not always have a step-by-step plan, but I know every day is a conscious effort to being and doing better, which will determine opportunities within the next five years. “Be open to the possibility but not attached to the outcome.”

Wine or beer?

Wine

Coffee or tea?

Coffee!!

Motto or personal mantra?

“Work hard, stay humble, and good things will happen.”

Welcome to MST, Marie!
