As part of our “Get to Know Market Street Talent” series, we introduce you to a member of our team and give you a closer look at the people who drive the success of our company. This week, meet our newest team member and Technical Recruiter, Kaitlyn Brown.

What is your role at Market Street Talent?

Technical Recruiter

How did you first learn about Market Street Talent?

Kelsey [Kane] reached out to me on LinkedIn and after our conversation I checked out the website and learned more about the company.

Before working at Market Street Talent, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

When I was in college at Plymouth State, I worked at Loon Mountain one year so I could get a free season pass and was a “Ticket Scanner”. I had to bundle up in a bunch of layers and stand outside and scan everybody’s ski passes, it was definitely the most unusual job I’ve had!

Tell us a little about yourself.

I live in Dover, NH with two roommates, I graduated from Plymouth State University in 2018 with a degree in Marketing and Professional Sales and have a little over 1 year of technical recruiting experience. I love to snowboard in the winter and spending time on the beach during the summer.

Where is your hometown?

Dover, NH

What do you like to do on your days off?

I like to spend time with friends and family, go to the beach or downtown Portsmouth in the summer. In the winter I love spending my weekends at Loon snowboarding or taking trips to other mountains.

What book did you read last?

The Hero Effect by Kevin Brown

What is the most important thing you have learned in the last five years?

I think the last 5 years have been a big transitional period for me especially graduating college and starting my career, so I would say that being adaptable and not letting small things seem like the end of the world is something I’ve learned!

What’s your favorite thing to do in Portsmouth?

I love going to different restaurants and taking walks around town.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I see myself living in a house somewhere in the Seacoast area with a couple of dogs, being successful within my career, and traveling more often.
