We are so proud to announce that the first Spring “Women in Technology” virtual event held last week was a tremendous success! Sponsored by Market Street Talent and Bad Ass & Bold, WIT Spring 2021: Reflect | Renew | Redefine raised the question – how have the stories of women in technology changed amidst a global pandemic?
The unprecedented circumstances brought on by 2020, and into 2021, have had an immense impact on women, both professionally and personally. Spring and promise of brighter days ahead inspired us to create an opportunity to come together outside of our annual fall event. Two dynamic guest speakers from the WIT community joined us to share their reflections about the past year, and the ways they’ve reimagined community in the time of social distancing.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to our discussion panelists, Carla Vanderhoof (Co-Founder & Chief Design Officer, addapptation) and Julia McIntosh (Portfolio Manager, International Association of Privacy Professionals). Their stories, experiences, and thoughts acknowledged the important truths about authenticity, equality, flexibility, and productivity that women have faced during a global pandemic.
Last but not least, thank you to all who attended this premier “mini” Women in Technology event. We so are grateful for the WIT community that has grown over the years, and for your continued support. We hope you will join us for our flagship, and eighth annual Women in Technology event this fall!
