And just like that, 2018 is coming to a close! We asked our founder and President, Jennifer Gray, if she’d like to share a few thoughts with our blog followers to mark the occasion.

I don’t know about you, but I honestly cannot believe that we are wrapping up 2018 already. This year has flown by – dare I say faster than other years? The old adage “time flies when you’re having fun” seems to have some truth to it. And when I reflect back on all of the happenings, changes, and experiences of 2018, one word immediately comes to mind: thankful. First and foremost, I am so very thankful for the MST team I am blessed to work with each and every day, all that we have accomplished, and all that makes us who we are – #bettertogether.
Here are just a few of the other things that made my list:
10 Years – MST celebrated its 10 year anniversary this past summer, making a toast to the first 10 years of business and a bigger toast to the next 10 years. Thank you to our clients who have believed in us, stood by us and supported our growth through the years. It has been a pleasure serving you these past 10 years, and we look forward to continuing our partnership well into the future. Our team is most thankful for you!
Portland, ME – 2018 ushered in a greater presence in the Portland, ME market with the addition of a few really good client partnerships. (You know who you are!) Having been born and raised in southern Maine, and still spending summer weekends in Maine, I have a special place in my heart for the state and could not be happier to be supporting the hiring initiatives of area employers.
We Went Green! – With a renewed commitment to our earth and our footprint on environmental health, the MST office is now even greener than it was before. Not only are we virtually paperless, we have greatly reduced our paper towel usage and eliminated our plastic and paper kitchenware. It’s the seemingly small acts that add up to make an impact, and we are happy to do our part.
And Orange and Red and Yellow! – Our commitment to stocking our fridge and pantry with healthy food options for our team remains strong, and now we have a new juicer in the kitchen where team members can make a veggie or fruit juice on the fly. Not only are they super-healthy, the juices are super-colorful too!
Community Give-Back – MST has always gladly supported area non-profits, and 2018 was no exception. This year we decided to officially launch a MST Community Give-Back program where we support non-profits of the team’s choice not only financially, but also with our volunteer hours. We come together during Team Days of Service and encourage individual PTO days for volunteering throughout the year.
Women in Technology – 2018 marked our 5th year of hosting and sponsoring the Women in Technology event here in Portsmouth. This year’s event was our second time holding the event at 3S ArtSpace, and we love the partnership with such a staple in our local arts community. This initiative is near and dear to our hearts and we are immensely proud that the event continues to grow year after year. In fact, 2018 turned out to be our biggest turnout to date. Supporting women in technology is vital to the continued growth of technology in our communities, and directly aligns with MST’s vision.
MST Team – A big heart-felt WELCOME to our new team members who joined MST this year, and a big heart-felt THANK YOU to our tenured team members who have stepped up and into bigger roles this year. Individually we are strong. Together we are stronger. Here’s to 2019. Bring it on!
