The first and most critical step of identifying a good fit is understanding the complete picture of your job requisition. Market Street Talent's process explores both the tangible and intangible characteristics of your ideal person. We have found that this one phase of our process is unique from any other recruitment company. And yet it is the most significant step in identifying solid talent. Before embarking on the search, Market Street Talent conducts a comprehensive exploration to fully understand the tangible and "intangible" goals of your organization. This takes diligence, vision, persistence and up-front focus. All result in a streamlined path to filling your vacancy. Tangibles are easy to define - they are typically found on a job description, and can be answered with a 'yes' or 'no' question. Degrees, skills, experiences, corporate associations, industries, etc.
The intangibles are a little more obscure but are equally as important - if not more so. We seek to define things such as the corporate culture, unique values of the company, what kind of person would fit best, what personality traits are important, what background is important, what past company-specific experience is key, risk tolerances of the role, personal situational factors that may not be a fit with the role, personality of the team and its manager. As simple as it sounds, it's these questions that make a difference in the quality of a candidate. A good fit is in the exploration.
The right candidate =
Tangible assets + INTANGIBLE assets
(personality + culture fit + team fit +
career goals + risk aversity)
